Wang Shusheng, executive council member of Quanzhou College of Technology, leads delegation to visit CityU to strengthen cooperation and exchange


A delegation led by Wang Shusheng, executive council member of Quanzhou College of Technology, visited City University of Macau (CityU) and received a warm reception from Vice Rector Ip Kuai Peng. The guests toured the campus and teaching facilities, and both parties engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges on discipline construction, industry-academia collaboration, talent cultivation, collaboration and exchanges, and postgraduate education. Pro-Rector Chu Te Lin joined the exchange session.

During the meeting, Vice Rector Ip Kuai Peng introduced the development status of CityU, including its history, talent cultivation, and industry-academia collaboration. Executive Executive Council Member Wang Shusheng provided an overview of the development of the college, with a focus on their programs in Southeast Asian countries studies along the Belt and Road Initiative. They expressed the hope to team up with CityU and share educational resources.

Both parties hope to enhance cooperation and exchange in areas such as faculty member recruitment, further education, and training for in-service teachers.

The Quanzhou College of Technology was founded in 2009 and currently consists the School of Business, School of Intelligent Manufacturing, School of Healthy Living, School of Architecture, School of Cultural Innovation, School of Education, and School of Literacy. The college has a national-level collaborative innovation center and a national-level productive training base. In 2021, the college was selected as a high-level vocational college construction unit.

Other delegates attended the meeting included Wang Zhengjun, vice president of the Quanzhou College of Technology and dean of School of Education, Wang Qingpan, director of the Career Centre and director of the Employment Centre, He Zhenpeng, dean of the International College and director of the United Front Department of the Party Committee, Gu Qifeng, staff member of the Human Resources Office. Dean Liying Cheng from the School of Education of CityU also participated in the discussion.
