CityU Representatives Attended 2019 EAIE and Visited St. Petersburg Polytechnic University


The European Association for International Education (EAIE) held the 31st European international education annual conference and exhibition in Helsinki, Finland on September 24th to 27th. More than 6,000 international educational staff from Europe, America, Asia, Oceania, Africa and other parts of the world attended this annual conference and exhibition. Dr. Sean Li, CityU Academic Registrar  accompanied with WeiHang, the representative of Global Exchange Office, attended.

 

During the conference and exhibition, CityU representatives had meetings with more than 20 universities from 15 countries or regions, and reached cooperation intention with Tallinn University, Jagiellonian University, Kozminski University and others, at the areas of summer program, semester exchange, Erasmus + exchange program among teachers and student and so on. At the same time, CityU actively promoted short-term inbound study exchange program to attract more international students to have an in-depth understanding of Macao's economy and culture, along with the concept of the Greater Bay Area.

 

After EAIE meetings, Dr. Li was also invited to visit Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University in Russia, where he had a conversation with relevant leaders from Faculty of Humanities on possible areas of cooperation. The two sides have reached consensus on cooperating in summer courses, academic researches, forums and student exchange programs.

 

In recent years, City University of Macau has always been advocating the teaching concepts of cross-cultural learning experience, actively expanding the exchange programs between teachers and students. We are also dedicated to improving the university internationalization and international popularity of our education. CityU will continue to strengthen cooperation with more universities at home and abroad, to enrich the diversity of exchange programs, and give our students more opportunities to broaden their horizons.
