On 18 November, Rector of University of Minho Prof. Antonio Cunha, Prof. Paulo Cruz - Director of UMCidades & Design Institute and Mr. Joao Caetano - Centre of Engineering and Product Development Engineer visited CityU to follow-up with the proposed projects between the two universities.  Our Rector Prof. Shu Guang Zhang, Academic Registrar Dr. Sean Li, Executive Associate Dean of Open Institute and Vice Executive Associate Dean of Faculty of International Tourism and Management Dr. Chau Ka Yin, Associate Dean of Faculty of Urban Management and Studies Dr. Yao Wu, Course Director of Faculty of Urban Management and Studies Prof. Brian He warmly welcomed the guests.

University of Minho is founded in 1973, known as a comprehensive institute with 11 faculties in Portugal. In 1991, UMinho has set up “Chinese Language and Culture Open Class”and follow with a master degree course of China-Portugal Culture Research being opened in 2009, which made UMinho the first university with a postgraduate degree in Chinese related majors within Portugal. Prof.Antonio Cunha delivered a speech on the overall structure of UMinho, and its superior research projects with worldwide well-known companies. During the meeting, the two university leaders discussed all seven international projects accordingly which had been established in previous engagements, in order to further develop the detail contents for practicable measures.

Rector Zhang expressed his strong support in the intercollegiate projects with UMinho, he encourages relevant leaders to implement the details of projects and put in efforts for achieving an abundant success for all the collaboration items.
