The consul-general of Mozambique in Macao, Rafael Custódio Marques, and rector of Eduardo Mondlane University (EMU), Manuel Guilherma Júnior, recently visited City University of Macau (CityU) and were warmly received by Vice Rector Zhou Wanlei. During the visit, CityU and EMU signed a memorandum of cooperation and held discussions on student development and collaborative projects.

During the discussion, Vice Rector Zhou Wanlei introduced CityU's history, academic disciplines, and future development plans. Rector Manuel Guilherma Júnior shared the philosophy of education, academic progress, and professional programs at Eduardo Mondlane University. Both sides expressed keen interest and their commitment to collaborate on projects in various leading disciplines in the future to promote scientific research development. They also discussed the potential for cooperation in student exchange, graduate student training, and international Chinese language teaching and expressed their interest to work together.

Subsequently, both sides signed a memorandum of understanding and expressed their commitment to continue strengthening exchanges and promoting the international development of higher education.

Other attendees from CityU included José Alves, dean of Faculty of Business, José Paulo Esperança, associate dean of Faculty of Business, Chao Peng, coordinator of master’s program at the Institute for Research on Portuguese-Speaking Countries, and Daryl Yang, director of Office of Global Affairs.
