The Global Exchange Office hosted the first info session for the 2017 Summer International Exchange Program at the HG01 Ho Yin Convention Center on December 7th, 2016. Vice Rector Kong Fanqing, Academic Registrar Dr. Sean Li and Dr. Hu Bo, President of CityU Student Union, Mr. Liu Yee-yi and Vice-President Liu Haoyi, and all students who have interests in participating the exchange program in 2017 have attended the info session.

The meeting was first introduced by the instructors of the Global Exchange Office to the leaders and teachers and students of the university, and the successful support of this year's summer school organized more than 40 students to go to the University of New Mexico and Vancouver Island University And three scholarship students were selected from each of the participating students, and the Vice-Chancellor and Prof. Li presented the scholarships awarded by the City University of Macau to the six outstanding students. The meeting was followed by Prof. Li to introduce the significance of participating in international exchange activities and to inspire the students to grow up in the future through his experience of living and working abroad. Dr. Li emphasised on to be able to enhance the ability of English communication skills and interpersonal skills in students' future personal development, by participating international exchange programs, the students will be more familiar with the global thinking. Then, the six awarded students from 2016 shared their stories in the United States and Canada during their study tour. Afterwards, the Global Exchange Office instructor introduced the five international exchange projects open for City University students in 2017 which had received fervent responses from students. Our teachers were also very enthusiastic to answer the students' questions one by one, we have successfully received more than 20 applications on the day.

A total of more than 50 students have participated in the first info session for 2017 International Exchange Program. With the support of the school leaders and teachers, the program was successfully completed. In order to carry out the exchange program in 2017, we have been coordinating with the partner universities in advance, after several months of negotiation, we have developed five unique international exchange programs for students with different needs.
