The Office of Global Affairs (OGA) of the City University of Macau (CityU) recently organized the 2nd semster Exchange Student Orientation for the Academic Year 2025/2026. The event took place at the Student Activity Center on the Taipa campus, bringing together visiting students from mainland Chinese universities and outgoing exchange students from CityU to share their diverse learning experiences.

During the conference, in the experience sharing session, international exchange students took turns to speak, sharing their interesting stories in daily life, learning gains in professional courses, and insights into local culture. A student from the Portugal shared his experience of learning Chinese calligraphy and participating in traditional festival activities, expressing his love for Chinese culture; a student from Russia talked about the differences and similarities in academic research between the two countries, and thanked the university for providing a good learning and research environment. The lively sharing triggered enthusiastic interactions on the scene, with bursts of applause from time to time.

Cheng Wu, Director of theOffice of Global Affairs, said that the International Exchange Student Exchange Conference is an important part of the university’s international exchange work. In the future, the university will continue to improve the service and management system for international exchange students, hold more diverse cross-cultural exchange activities, create a more open and inclusive campus atmosphere, and help international exchange students achieve better growth and development during their study at the university.
The successful holding of this International Exchange Student Exchange Conference has effectively promoted the communication and interaction between international exchange students and the university, as well as among students. It has laid a solid foundation for further promoting the internationalization process of the university and strengthening international educational exchanges and cooperation.
