A delegation led by the Vice President of Shenzhen University (SZU) visited the City University of Macau (CityU Macau) today at the Taipa campus. Prof Jun Liu, Rector of CityU Macau, warmly received the group. The SZU delegation took a campus tour to look at the teaching facilities and learn more about the 40 years of the development progress of CityU Macau. The two parties held exchanges on discipline development and a joint programme for talent cultivation.

In the meeting, Rector Liu welcomed Vice President Du and his delegation. Prof Ip Kuai Peng, Pro-Rector of CityU Macau, gave an overview of past collaboration between CityU Macau and SZU on various conferences and talent cultivation programmes.

Vice President Du pointed out that SZU has made achievements over the past 30 years since the establishment, namely in areas such as discipline development, academic strength, university ranking and reputation. He hoped that the two universities could develop in-depth collaboration to nurture talents for the development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The two sides had an intensive discussion for prospective collaboration during the exchange session. CityU Macau and SZU are looking forward to sharing academic resources on Hong Kong and Macao affairs studies and legal research, nurturing teaching members to jointly carry out research projects, publish scholarly monographs, and organise academic seminars and conferences.
