A delegation led by Ms Gu Yuehua, Deputy Director of the Department of Education of Jiangsu Province, visited the City University of Macau (CityU Macau) today (10). Prof Jun Liu, Rector of the CityU Macau, received the group and held exchanges on the education development and talent cultivation plans in Macao and the eastern Chinese province of Jiangsu.

On behalf of the University, Rector Liu extended a warm welcome to the group and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Department of Education of Jiangsu Province for its support to education cooperation between Macao and Jiangsu. He introduced the development, academic achievements and disciplinary characteristics of the University.

In the meeting, Deputy Director Gu affirmed the achievements of the University and its endeavour in bolstering exchanges and ties with mainland universities. Ms Gu said she was glad to visit CityU Macau during the “Macao Jiangsu Week”. She hoped that CityU Macau would collaborate with more universities in Jiangsu and explore the space for cooperation in cross-cultural communication and psychology.

The Macao Jiangsu Week inaugurated yesterday (9) in Macao promotes all-around cooperation between Macao and Jiangsu, namely science and technology innovation, economic trade and modern services, education and youth exchanges, Chinese medicine and health care, conventions and exhibitions.
