University of Technology Sydney and CityU sign MoU to strengthen international cooperation


Distinguished Professor Zhang Chengqi, Pro Vice-Chancellor (China Enterprise) at University of Technology Sydney (UTS), and Mr. Leo Mian Liu, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Global Partnerships), visited City University of Macau (CityU) today (28). Prof. Jun Liu, CityU Rector, Prof. Zhou Wanlei, Vice Rector and Dean of the Faculty of Data Science, and Vice Rector Chee Seong Chin, warmly received the group at the Taipa campus. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by both sides to strengthen international cooperation, including the development of potential joint programs.

During the meeting, Rector Liu and Pro Vice-Chancellor Leo Mian Liu signed the agreement on behalf of both parties. In this partnership, the two parties will collaborate on talent cultivation and provide combined bachelor's and master's degree programs in various fields, including Data Science, Finance, Health Science, Business Administration, Tourism, and Law. In addition, this partnership may allow CityU students to study abroad at UTS in the form of exchange studies. The two sides agree strengthen exchanges on scientific research, faculty and student exchanges, and potential international academic events.
