Fujian CPPCC Chairman Teng Jiacai and delegation visit CityU and provide guidance for its development


A delegation led by Teng Jiacai, chairman of the Fujian Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) recently visited City University of Macau (CityU) and provided guidance for the University’s development. The delegation was warmly received by Chancellor Chan Meng Kam, chairman of the University Council, and Vice Rector Ip Kuai Peng, and had the opportunity to tour the campus, teaching facilities, and the Sino-Portugal Belt and Road Joint Laboratory on Science of Cultural Heritage Conservation.

 

 

During the meeting, the two sides discussed talent development, higher education cooperation, and cultural exchanges between Fujian and Macao. Chairman Teng fully affirmed the achievements of the University and expressed hope for the University to leveraging its international characteristics to strengthen exchanges with universities in Fujian Province. He expressed that these collaborations will foster outstanding talents needed for the Greater Bay Area and national development, and contribute to the socioeconomic growth of Fujian and Macao.
