為搭建跨文化交流平台，增進海內外交換生情誼，澳門城市大學今天舉辦2026/2027學年第一學期國際及交換學生迎新會，助力同學們更好地融入澳門的學習生活。本次迎新交流會共有近150名來自海内外合作院校的交換生共聚一堂，城大校長劉駿、商學院院長José Alves、金融學院院長張偉光、人文社會科學學院代院長黃國文、國際旅遊與管理學院執行副院長李璽、教育學院院長程李穎、創新設計學院執行副院長王伯勛、全球事務處處長武成、學生事務處處長鄒辰寵以及各學院師生代表等出席活動，現場氣氛溫馨熱烈。

隨後，學生事務處代表介紹了學校校隊建設、學生社團體系及各類校園文體活動，鼓勵國際學子報名參與，豐富課餘生活、拓展社交圈層。

在迎新活動中，同學們積極參與豐富有趣的互動遊戲，拉近彼此之間的距離。現場笑聲不斷，氣氛歡樂融洽，大家在遊戲中加深交流，共同感受多元文化的魅力。

此次國際生迎新活動不僅為海外交換生搭建了共享文化、增進友誼的平台，亦充分體現大學對國際學子的持續關懷與支持。未來，城大將繼續舉辦更多豐富多彩的活動，促進跨文化理解與交流，讓每一位來城大學習的交換生都能收穫滿載美好回憶的成長體驗與學習旅程。

During this exchange semester at CityU Macau, I am looking forward to have more case studies and group activities. My studies in Germany were heavily focused on theory, especially in marketing and sales, thus offered few practical case studies or group work. So, I am eager to put the theoretical framework into good practice. What I find most interesting about studying at the CityU Macau is its location. I noted that Macao is situated in the Greater Bay Area of China, which accounts for around 2.2 trillion US dollars in GDP, with Macao itself contributing about 11 to 12 percent of China's GDP. Macao is an exciting location, with Shenzhen, Guangdong province, and Hong Kong nearby, and this is certainly what draws me to here.

Macao is a great city because it combines the old city with Portuguese art and architecture alongside the new city with casinos and hotels. I really like  CityU Macau because it is very diversified, with people from all around the world. Today's event is very nice and I sincerely thank the organizers. It was great for meeting new people and discovering activities, which I enjoyed very much. I have already made many new friends, including local students, and it is easy to approach people and talk with them, which also helps improve my English. I am looking forward to a great experience and believes that CityU Macau is the best place to have a wonderful semester, with many students, places to visit, food to try, cultural activities, and history to explore.

I have a very good impression of Macao and the City University of Macau. Macao is an extremely beautiful city. I originally thought that local people in Macao only spoke Chinese, but after arriving here, I found that multiple languages are widely used in the city, mainly Cantonese, Portuguese and English, which makes me feel very comfortable.

Talking about my experience of participating in the event that day, I think it was a wonderful activity from which I have learned a lot. I not only took part in fun games with other participants and got rewards, but also met many professors and students, making plenty of new friends during the event.

My impression of Macao is quite different from what I expected before my visit. I used to imagine Macao as a huge, ultra-modern city. In fact, Macao is indeed a modern city, but it is small in size, so I can travel around and explore the whole city easily on foot or by bus. I am also deeply impressed by Macao’s unique architecture, which features a great number of colorful historic and ancient buildings. I really enjoy my time here and feel very happy.

If I had to describe Macao in three simple words, they would be "beautiful", "small" and "interesting". It is beautiful because the city scenery and architectural styles are incredibly attractive; it is small because it is convenient to travel around on foot or by bus; and it is interesting because it perfectly blends authentic Portuguese and Chinese cultures.

I think Macao feels quite crowded but has good traffic conditions. I find the City University of Macau absolutely awesome, as it is equipped with excellent facilities and has wonderful lectures, and I have also received a very warm welcome here. I think today’s event was really cool. I had great fun playing the games and even won a teddy bear. One of the most memorable moments for me was when I took the wrong bus with my Vietnamese friends. We accidentally ended up on a different island!

I had initially considered studying in other countries, but Macao became my top choice. I was eager to explore this region, and I also knew that the City University of Macau has a good ranking. I firmly believe that I have made the right choice. During my time here, I have met new friends, acquired new knowledge, and experienced the warm and friendly local environment.

I thought the event was really fun. I especially enjoyed playing games and catching up with people I already knew, and the atmosphere there was absolutely amazing. I have already made friends with local students effortlessly, as we were grouped together in classes and collaborated on various assignments. I also got to meet the warm, helpful volunteers from the Office of Global Affairs, and I believe this is just the start of us building closer connections with one another. As a business student, what I look forward to the most is broadening my international perspective. Back in Russia, my studies and work mainly centered on analyzing Russian enterprises. Now in Macao, I am thrilled to learn about Chinese companies and domestic markets, connect with people from all around the world, and explore new places across Macao, Hong Kong, and mainland China.

I have been in Macao for about a week so far, and my experience here has been absolutely amazing. I have quickly immersed myself in my studies and the fast-paced life of Macao. Both my academic learning and communication with fellow students have given me great encouragement.

I think today’s event was wonderful, inspiring and full of fun. I took part in every game activity and thought all of them were fantastic. I feel really happy and grateful for the gifts I received and for this precious opportunity to meet everyone here. I am truly thrilled by this experience.

If I had to sum up Macao in three words, I would describe it as exceptional, modern and bright. I usually try not to set too many expectations for a new place, but Macao has still far exceeded all my expectations and turned out to be even better than I imagined.
