Application Process:
1. Complete <學生參加校際交流項目承諾書> and return the form by emailing it to oga.exchange@cityu.edu.mo. Please specify your programme name in the Email, thanks.
2. Fill out the application form.
Once OGA receive your your email with <學生參加校際交流項目承諾書>, we will send you an application form to complete.
3. Pay Application fee.
After submitting the application, you will receive an email containing a link to pay the application fee ($125 CAD). Click the link to make the payment. Note: The application fee is non-refundable.
4. Pay Program Fee and receive acceptance Letter.
If UBC VSP accept your application, they’ll send you an email confirming your acceptance. The email will include a link to pay your program fee. You will receive a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) AFTER they have received your program fee payment.
5. Travel Documents
Find out what kind of travel documents you will need to enter Canada and make an application for one as soon as you receive your Letter of Acceptance, as processing time may take longer than you expect. Click here for more details.
6. Flight, Accommodation and Roommate (FAR) form
UBC VSP will send you a Flight, Accommodation, and Roommate form after receiving your program fee payment. Submit your completed form with all information on flights and rooming preferences filled in.
7. Health Insurance
UBC VSP will provide health insurance coverage to all participants in the Vancouver Summer Program. Be sure to print or keep a copy of your iMED card on your phone in preparation for your visit.
8. Program Consent Waivers
Complete and submit your Vancouver Summer Program Consent Package. All students below 19 years of age are required to have a parent or guardian complete the package.
9. Orientation
A UBC CWL (Campus-wide Login) account will be created for you to access the VSP online orientation course. You are expected to complete the course before arriving in Vancouver. Your UBC Faculty will also send you specific information about your enrolled course package.
10. Enjoy VSP
Arrive in Vancouver and settle down in your residence. attend the in-person faculty orientation and VSP welcome event on the first Monday. Engage in the academic program and extra-curricular activities offered during the program. Make new friends from around the world. Explore Vancouver and Canada during its best season… and have an unforgettable summer!
Please note that :
- Applicants are responsible for covering the course fees and other related expenses, as well as arranging their own travel (flights, visas, etc.).
- Credits earned from UBC VSP cannot be transferred back to City University of Macau.

Special about the program:
- To qualify for the Vancouver Summer Program, you must be fully proficient in English and be able to engage in an academic setting. Language requirements are self-assessed—do not require TOEFL or IELTS results
- Some packages are only open to students at least 19 years of age on the first day of the program
- Some packages are also open to graduate (Masters/PhD) students
- Some packages require/prefer students to have a certain proficiency in the package’s discipline
- VSP course packages do not carry UBC credits and the VSP grades letter is not an official UBC transcript.

Program Fee:
The total cost for joining the Vancouver Summer Program in 2025 is $5,975 CAD and it’s comprised of two parts:
Application fee: $125 CAD, payable upon submitting the application
Program fee: $5,850 CAD, this includes course fees and materials, most activities, accommodation, and medical insurance. The program fee is due by the payment deadlines listed below.
Some VSP course packages include socio-cultural activities that are included in the program fee, while other activities are partly subsidized or come at an additional cost. For example, students may be responsible for the cost of public transportation for all off-campus classes and field trips.
